"If the importance of an architect equals the extent to which his work lives on in others, Neufert is the most important of the twentieth century."
Reinier De Graaf, Architect
Four Walls and a Roof, Harvard University PressFor decades the handbook for architects. Neufert's Bauentwurfslehre
The Bauentwurfslehre, continuously updated since 1936, offers fundamental knowledge and all insights required for the detailed development of construction projects. Structured according to building types, it includes planning criteria, functional and siting considerations and provides all data on spatial requirements of a construction project. For the design and planning phase, it is an indispensable tool for all architects.
In 2001 the Neufert family established the Neufert Foundation, to preserve the architectural heritage of Ernst and Peter Neufert. Our mission is to continue the Bauentwurfslehre of Prof. Ernst
Neufert
and to maintain the Neufert House from 1929
and the Neufert Box in Weimar.
